Finally got to where I can post some pictures. It took awhile to get internet access here and it had to be satellite access and we didn't have it at the time this picture was taken. The antenna is bigger than the 2 on the roof and is right between them. This was the 1st snow of the year and the 1st in our new log home. It rained and froze first then sleeted and then snowed so be very careful where you walk. These were taken mid morning and the last 2 taken in late afternoon. After the snow pictures there are some of the inside of the house and a couple of the back porch. Leave a comment so I will know if many people see these. From now on we will probably only post pictures of trips, any new landscaping, whatever we think that will be interesting to people, etc. Any family or friends that don't mind having their or their kids picture on the internet let me know via e-mail or comment here.

Our back yard, it's hard to believe we had a weenie and marshmallow roast less than a week earlier, while some people were still here for Thanksgiving, on the left by that tree and it was warm enough for short sleeves.

The saw was painted by a lady that lived next door to us in the town I grew up in, she is still there. I've had it for several years now.

I shot this moose at the far end of the backyard with the gun hanging just below it, the meat is in the freezer in the basement.

I had to put the Christmas Grinch and my man Marvin on the window sill.

Carol did the dining room and I added a touch to it and it wasn't the coffee mugs.

A new modern hi-tech phone that really works but it tires your arm out cranking it.

A couple of pictures of the loft area after I got done with it. This was taken after I set up the wireless network hence the 2 laptops, had to add a wireless card to get Carol's desktop to work.

Bug free now for summer meals outside.

John and Austin taking a break from Thanksgiving dinner.

Dressed to go hunting.

When are we going hunting grandpa?

They're In!!

Well, mom and dad's log cabin is basically finished and they have moved in. Right now they still do not have internet and it's looking like the possibly won't have it until the beginning of the year. The only option for them to get a hi-speed connection is satellite and the place offering it is not accepting new customers until the beginning of January. So unless mom and dad decide to go with dial up for a little while (or use my sister's or my grandparents'), it's pretty much no internet for them until after the first of the year. So if you email them, don't expect a quick response. They're not ignoring anyone. They just have limited opportunities to check email right now.

They are doing well and getting settled. I will try to remember to get pictures from them and get some posted. At the least we will get some up of Thanksgiving that's happening at their new place this year.

OK! Our log home is finished now and with a well too. Just kidding this is a log cabin we saw across the street from a nursery in a town south of Hannibal where we were looking for some fruit trees we wanted to plant on our property. We didn't get any, it was basically a wasted trip except for the log cabin. Sorry it took so long to post these pictures but we have been fairly busy. I wish I was still working so I could have some leisure time and less stress.

This was taken the Saturday after the yard was seeded on Thursday.

Moving in time, I'm sure as heck glad this part is over with but we still have more stuff to move. This was just the furniture and some boxes. Thanks to our nephew Justin who drove all the way from Atlanta I didn't have to move the furniture by myself, he was a lifesaver.

My new 50" plasma tv for the media room with surround sound. I haven't got it all setup yet but will shortly. That's a little fridge on the left with a cart style popcorn popper coming soon. Anyone want to watch the CARDS in the World Series and the RAMS in the Super Bowl with me? There will probably be some Amber Bock or Missouri Brown in the little fridge.

The other new TV.

This was taken on the Monday after the grass was seeded on the previous Thursday afternoon, four days it took to come up.

The livingroom with our new leather furniture, I've always wanted leather furniture. Also that flatscreen HD TV is AWSUM, its a Sony tube set and what they say about tube HD TV's setting the standard all others shoot for is right. I've already watched the 1st 2 Cardinal playoff games on it.

This one was taken with Carol's skycam.

The kitchen is ready now but the radio doesn't stay. Check out the 2 kauphy mugs, some people will recognize them.

The master bedroom with all of the furniture in place from right to left in a complete circle. The fan in the livingroom, this room and the media room have remote controls, all of them are on the same frequency and when one is turned on they all come on, etc. also the lights that are with them but this room is the only one that don't have a light with the fan. I'll get around to fixing it one of these days tho.
