Took some more pictures Friday that do show some progress. Here you can see the extension we had to put in for the heating stove chimney. Don't forget that you can click on all these pictures to enlarge them to see them better.

A couple of pictures of the new heat pump up and running. That means a higher electric bill that we have to pay now.

These next few pictures show the bannister in the loft after it was finished, it looks good and strong.

These stairs are just temporary the permanent ones will be installed later. At floor level on the wall is a wide board that's hard to see in the picture but it covers the seam between the 1st and 2nd floors that's there to allow for the expansion of the logs. It is attached so it floats and will raise and lower to keep the seam hidden as the logs contract and expand.

The floor in the kitchen in now ready to lay the tile, also the downstairs bathroom will have the same tile and there will be some tile at the front door.

These next 2 pictures show where the plubing to the master bathroom and the ductwork has been hidden, they did a great job. The ceiling in all the downstairs rooms is the floor for the upstairs rooms thats why the plumbing was in view and had to be hidden since there was no space between the floor and ceiling where it would normally be. Compare these 2 pictures to the ones in the last group of pictures posted.

A good view of the window frame in the master bedroom.

A couple of pictures of the small landing and steps in the garage which goes into the utility room and then into the kitchen. The 2 little white spots on the trim are the controls to the 2 garage doors.

A couple of pictures of the back porch ceiling. It's not quite finished because there wasn't enough boards, that's because at the last minute we expanded it by 2 feet but the boards we need are on order.

It's been almost 3 weeks since I posted any pictures and these were taken 2 weeks ago. We are going back tomorrow to take some and check things out. We hope to see a lot done since we were there last. It will be a year in Sept. since this process started and is about 2 months behind. It's slowly getting there tho.

Some pictures of the railing in the loft put up to keep people from falling into the middle of the living room floor and rudely interrupting people talking, eating or watching TV. It's made from solid Missouri oak and attached with bolts and will even hold me up. It's not quite finished yet but the main part is up. I hope it will be finished when we get there tomorrow.

Some of the HVAC ducts and electrical conduit that run across the ceiling has been hidden pretty well. All you can see is the white electric cable coming out of the ceiling and that will be where the ceiling fan/light will be.

A little bit of the plumbing that still needs to be hidden.

This part above the garage roof was all that was left to finish the exterior and now that's done. Some of the exterior trim still needs to be done tho.

Fourteen pictures on this post. The first few pictures show views around the house except for for the west side and the rest are,you guessed it, on the inside. All of the outside except for a spot just above the garage roof and some trim around some windows and doors.

I found a fairly clear spot on the hillside to take a picture.

Here, lizard, lizard, lizard. Where's that Taco Bell dog when you need him? During the hot part of the day this is the only critter you can find out and about. It's fun watching them chasing each other around and they are pretty quick too.

Carol and Diane hard at work.

The section above the garage roof is the only part of the outside that doesn't have siding yet, but it will by next week when I take more pictures.

A couple of pictures of the porch. When it's done there will be 3ft wide steps on the far end and we're not sure yet how wide the front steps will be, someone mentioned 8ft wide but I think that will be too wide so we'll see, also there will be a bannister all the way around except where the steps will be of course.

This wall wasn't completed in last weeks post.

East wall of the loft with the media room on the other side of it.

HAPPY 230TH BIRTHDAY UNITED STATES of AMERICA! It's still the best country in the world to live in no matter what the hate America crowd says.

Thirteen pictures in this bunch. This one shows one of the two porch lights, I'm standing under the other one. The lights we chose are porch lights but the ones that are supposed to go on the wall, I had to modify them some so they could be used on the ceiling, there are several more just like these two that go in various other places but they will be on the walls like they are supposed to. More pictures the same time next week I hope.

The outside west wall is done and one of the windows has trim, the others should follow shortly.

Good view of the little tree that bocks the view of the window.

The garage doors have been installed.

Both doors.

Some outside views of the new garage door, both doors have been installed be we only closed one so we could take a picture.

A view of the short wall in the loft. The couch belongs there but will be turned around facing the open part of the loft and will also be used as a bed if needed, it unfolds out to a full size bed.

Part of the west wall and ceiling in the loft area and the the other end of the little short wall.

A view of the ceiling at the east end of the house in the master bedroom facing the south wall where the dormer is. The ceiling is done except for the trim.
