Here is a picture of our new grandson taken while he was still at the hospital. I didn't have this one to put in with the last post. Everybody keep quiet and don't wake him up. I'll probably put a picture in of him every now and then. Pictures of the house up next.

10 pictures in this post. The outside of the garage is almost done and the only difference's looks wise anyway between it and the rest of the house are the corners. The logs on the house haven't been stained yet but when they are they will look the same as the garage. The garage looks a little dark now but will lighten up some as the finish cures. The dark color (compared to the unfinished logs) helps protect the logs from the UV rays from the sun but they really aren't as dark as they look in the pictures.

Up close view taken from the back porch. I'm going to paint that door a different color, with the sun shining on it it's way to brite.

Just a little bit more and the outside of the garage will be done.

Here are some uninvited guest in the window of the master bedroom. We have been assured that they will be gone before its finished. Wasps, mosquitoes and flies in that order are reminants of the Bibical plagues, I'm sure of it!

The master bath framed in and part of the walk-in closet on the left.

Here is one of the wild critters that you can see running around behind the garage. Wonder if they can be trained to catch mice?

Carol took this of some Redbud trees on the east side of the house (the garage side).

Looks like they have used it a lot more since a week ago. I put up this sign and one to the left by the road where they have been cutting across but haven't gotten the Louisiana yard dog yet. My property line is about 3' this side of the sign

6 pictures in this post. This and the next picture will give you an idea of what the floor upstairs floor will look like when it is finished. This is a sanding finish, it needs to be sanded again then the final finish will be put on. Sorry it has taken so long to post some more pictures but with our first grandson putting in an appearance and trying to get things coordinated at the log house its been pretty busy and I have to go to Montana next week to help my cousin who is making our kitchen cabinets get them back to this part of the country. By the way our grandson got here at 1:32pm on the 8th.

The shower stall for the master bath and that is the spot where it will be installed. The hole to the left of it is where the reading chair will be installed.

The HVAC duct work is now underway. A lot of holes being put in our nice wood floors.

The first stage of putting on the log siding for the garage. Couldn't afford real logs for the garage and with the log siding you won't be able to tell anyway. But they did put the vapor barrier on upside down tho.

Already a neighbor kid is starting to tear up part of our property with a 4-wheeler. I didn't want to have to but looks like I need to put up some no trespassing signs and get some Louisiana yard dogs.
